Abstract: This study presented a qualitative evaluation of a creditbearing, service leadership subject (2016/2017 academic year) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. It drew on data collected from three courses carried out in different semesters and venues, and with different degree of intensity. Students (n = 76 for the semester 1 course, n = 79 for the semester 3 course, n = 64 for the Cambodian summer camp) were invited to reflect on their learning experiences and report their perspectives towards the subject by using three descriptors and one metaphor. Findings demonstrated that the majority of students (more than 80%) evaluated the subject positively with positive perception of their learning experiences. They also perceived this service leadership subject to be effective to enhance their holistic development and nurture service leadership in them.
