Feedback is a very important teaching behavior, which is particularly highlighted in assessment for learning. In real teaching practice, feedback indeed forms a continuum ranging from the positive to the negative side. Through reviewing overseas studies on feedback effectiveness and connecting them to actual problems. In the teaching in mainland China, this paper discusses feedback strategies such as focusing, interaction, timeliness, objective-orientation, deindividualization, respect for students’ differences, active follow-ups, etc. It is believed that this paper is worth noting in the field of teacher development.
