dcterms.abstractBased on the propagation property of module maximum of wavelet transform coefficients under differ-ent signals and the characteristics of signal sample in cable fault location,an improved means of soft-threshold de-noising is put forward. The test results indicate that the means can restore the pulse traveling wave signal effi-ciently,thus provide the advantage for accurate cable location.-
