On traditional costumes of miao nationality and its ecological adaptation in Xiangxi

Abstract

湘西苗族在历史迁徙中,不断地改造自然和发展生产,其传统服饰款式也经历了古代、近代和现当代的发展过程,它的生存与传承也是与其生态系统调适以求平衡的发展过程。从生态适应视角来考察湘西苗族服饰的传承发展对当今社会生活和服饰文化具有重要的参考价值。 In the history of migrating and in the process of nature-remaking and developing production,the style of traditional costumes of Miao nationality in Xiangxi has gone through a developmental process of ancient,modern and contemporary era,its survival and inheritance has been adjusted to ecological system so as to keep their balance.This paper investigates the inheritance development of Xiangxi Miaos costumes from the ecological adaptation perspective which provides a significant reference value to the contemporary social life and culture of costumes.
