Title: | Photoluminescent nanoparticles and their synthesis and uses | Authors: | Li, P Yao, Y Niu, D |
Issue Date: | 11-Jun-2019 | Source: | US Patent 10,316,246 B2. Washington, DC: US Patent and Trademark Office, 2019. | Abstract: | The present invention discloses a method of preparing polymeric photoluminescent dots in water using inexpensive non-conjugated polymers. The resulting polymeric photoluminescent dots display the following properties: excellent water dispersibility, low toxicity, high absorptivity, good photo-stability and high quantum yield. The photoluminescent properties are not influenced by aggregation-caused quenching effect. The method is amenable to scale-up and is environmentally friendly. | Rights: | Assignee: The Hong Kong Polytechnic University |
