dcterms.abstract | The present invention discloses a method of preparing polymeric photoluminescent dots in water using inexpensive non-conjugated polymers. The resulting polymeric photoluminescent dots display the following properties: excellent water dispersibility, low toxicity, high absorptivity, good photo-stability and high quantum yield. The photoluminescent properties are not influenced by aggregation-caused quenching effect. The method is amenable to scale-up and is environmentally friendly. | - |
