Title: | Test and analysis of cooling performance of cooling garments | Authors: | Li, LN Qian, XM Fan, JT |
(Journal of Tianjin Institute of Textile Science and Technology), 2008, v. 27, no. 5, p. 47-50+54 | Abstract: | To evaluate the cooling performance of different types of cooling garments, three different cooling garments are tested by using movable sweating thermal manikin "Walter" in temperature cabin. The test results indicate that all of the three cooling garments evidently lower the skin temperature of the thermal manikin. The liquid phase change material cooling garment took away the most heat, and its cooling time is the longest. The microcapsule phase change material cooling garment took away the less heat, and its cooling time is the shortest. The cooling performance of the liquid cooling garment is middling. In conclusion, although all of the three cooling garments evidently removed the heat from the thermal manikin, there are some disadvantages on comfort. |
