dcterms.abstract | Shenzhen is a modern city with the highest per capita income in China. Its manpower also has the highest average education level in the country. However, the city is to a much greater extent polluted with bad English and translation errors than any other China s major cities. The paper reveals this shocking fact with numerous examples extracted from the city s newspapers, magazines, advertisements, sign boards for public transportation, government websites, product specifications, etc. The author has given a detailed recommendations for curing or lessening the city’s language pollution. | - |
