This article examines the lives and careers of three senior eunuchs: Dong Zhongyong 董仲永 (1104-1165), Zheng Jingchun 鄭景純 (1091-1137), and Yang Liangru 楊良孺 (1111- 1164), who served the Song 宋, inner court. Though their names were not included in the "Biographies of Eunuchs" of the Song shi 宋史, their biographies were kept in the stone tomb records and inscriptions 墓誌銘 written by their friend, Cai Xun 曹勛 (1098-1174), a courtier and renowned poet. The three stone tomb records and inscriptions were preserved in the Songyin ji 松隱集 - the collected works of Cai Xun. It is also worthy to raise a question why the number of extant stone tomb inscriptions of Song eunuchs is so rare.
