dcterms.abstractThe role and participation of renewable energy in competitive markets are key issues for sustainable energy development. A number of basic concerns, such as government policy, regulatory and incentive measures have yet to be resolved. In this connection, discussion on development of renewable energy in the context of promoting sustainable use of energy including incentives, acceptance, market and policy measures as well as a case review for possible promoting the use of RE in the future Hong Kong electricity market reform is presented in the paper.-
