Title: A Good Flipped Classroom Case 13 from APSS

Abstract: This case study presents the successful implementation of the flipped classroom approach in the course "Promotion of Children and Adolescent Development" (APSS2S05), taught by Miss Carman Chu from the Department of Applied Social Sciences. It explores the reasons for adopting the flipped classroom model, describes the step-by-step process of its implementation, assesses its positive impact on student learning, and discusses the challenges encountered along the way.The study also highlights best practices, such as making learning interactive through the use of the Metaverse, improving student learning efficiency with formative assessments, and addressing students’ emotional well-being during the learning process. Overall, the case illustrates challenges such as the time required to develop Metaverse resources and the limitations associated with using both the Metaverse and Padlet platforms.
