Title: | Compact CMOS-compatible polarization splitter and rotator based on 90° bends | Authors: | Tan, K Yu, C Lee, C |
Issue Date: | 2016 | Source: | In the Proceeding of 2016 International Conference on Optical MEMS and Nanophotonics (OMN), 31 July 2016 - 04 August 2016, Singapore | Abstract: | We propose and experimentally demonstrate a compact highly-efficient CMOS-compatible polarization splitter and rotator (PSR) with a wide bandwidth covering the whole O-band. It benefits from the different confinement capability of TE and TM modes in bend structure. The fabricated PSR achieves a high TM-TE conversion efficiency of -0.4 dB and high TE-TE conversion efficiency of -0.2 dB at 1310 nm, while the extinction ratio is better than 18 dB. | Publisher: | Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers | ISBN: | 978-150901035-6 | DOI: | 10.1109/OMN.2016.7565895 | Description: | 2016 International Conference on Optical MEMS and Nanophotonics (OMN), 31 July 2016 - 04 August 2016, Singapore | Rights: | ©2016 IEEE.
