This paper offers a brief review of literature on materialism among adolescents and game-based learning on the promotion of one specific positive youth development construct, namely spirituality as a preventive measure. It then describes the design of the digital game and how it can be used as an electronic resource to enhance learning on reflection of materialistic and non-materialistic values and the development of spirituality and enhancement of self-efficacy in financial management. It also provides suggestions on how to use the game effectively. The discussion is supported by in-depth qualitative and critical comments of two users from different cultures and educational levels. Theoretical and practical issues are discussed. Limitations and future research suggestions are presented.en_US
