Abstract: Reviews the jurisdiction rules governing disputes relating to multimodal transport of goods under Chinese law. Examines the sources of the domestic and international rules of jurisdiction, the scope of cases accepted by the maritime courts, the relevant court system and the types of territorial jurisdiction. Notes potential conflicts between court jurisdiction and arbitration, and areas of the multimodal transport regime needing clarification.
