Abstract: To nurture service leaders of tomorrow and to help university students develop in a holistic manner, the "Service Leadership" subject was established at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). The current study examines the impact of the subject offered in 2015/16 academic year using the client satisfaction approach. A total of 106 university students completed an evaluation form assessing perceived program, instructors and effectiveness quality. The students reported a positive view of the program in both semesters. As predicted, there were significant inter-relationships amongst program content, instructor quality, and perceived effectiveness. Regarding predictors of program benefits, program and instructor quality showed a significant impact. For overall satisfaction, perceived benefits was the only significant predictor. The findings strongly suggest that the subject could promote the development of service leadership in students.
