Abstract: Digital humanities (DH), which frst started as the compilation, digitization, and visualization of ample amounts of archival works of particular writers and artists (such as the projects of Rossetti Archive and William Blake Archive) at the beginning of the twenty-frst century, has witnessed exponential expansion over the last decade. The recent rapid advances in modern computing and information technology have given rise to more new digital tools and methods, including hypermedia, data visualization, text mining and digital mapping, and so on, all of which have been applied in DH to foster systematic and scholarly study of these digital resources. Such a study has a distinctive interdisciplinary nature.
