Successful integer carrier phase ambiguity is the key to fast and high precise GPS positioning. The methods that have been used for the validation of the integer ambiguity are almost based that the integer ambiguities are deterministic constants. Therefore, all of them have some shortcomings. In this paper, a new test method has been proposed for the validation of the correct integer ambiguity, which is obtained by the least squares ambiguity decorrelation approach(LAMBDA). The method is based on the probability of the integer ambiguity and discriminated by the probability of the correct integer ambiguity and the probability of the second likely integer ambiguity. The practical test results showed this method is simple and efficient, and its statistic concept is explicit.
