In order to estimate the parameters of the vehicle, this paper describes the parameters identification of vehicle moving on simply supported bridge based on sensitivity analysis using dynamic response. The moving vehicle is modeled as a two-degree-of-freedom system with five parameters. The finite element method is used to calculate the responses of the bridge.Starting with an initial guess for the unknown parameters value, the identification can be realized based on least square method and regularization technique from measured responses, which finds the best estimates of parameters by minimizing the RPE(Relative Percent Error) between two adjacent iterations.Study results indicate that the identified results are satisfactory, and the identified mass value is the best to match the real parameter, which verifies that the method is effective to identify parameters of vehicle moving on the bridge.
