This paper presents a quantitative methodology for examining the driving impacts from infrastructure and construction investment to the national economic growth in China. Based on the statistical data (1980 to 1998), regression models are developed to show the construction drive to the Chinese GDP growth during the implementation of the national economy reform since beginning of 1980s. The results not only provide the findings of demonstrating the construction drive to the Chinese GDP growth, but also provide valuable information for comparing the construction impacts to economic growth in China and other countries.
