Abstract: Diffusion coefficients of pseudoplanar molecules p‐chlorotoluene, (o‐, m‐, and p‐) dichlorobenzene, and (o‐, m‐, and p‐)xylene at infinite dilution in acetone, ethanol, and n‐tetradecane have been precisely measured at 298.2 K by using the Taylor dispersion (chromatographic broadening) technique. It is found that the limiting mutual diffusion coefficients are generally insensitive to the mass and dipole moment of the solutes. The data are, however, slightly dependent on the shape of the solute molecules. The effects of the solvent are reported.
