Abstract: 五六十年代,傅雷和钱钟书分别提出了“神似”和“化境“的翻译标准,在翻译界引起了很大影响。本文旨在回顾“神似”、“化境”之说在中国翻译理论发展史上的演进过程,重点描述早期茅盾、郭沫若、陈西滢、曾虚白有关翻译的论述,分析他们使用的语言,并从现代翻译理论的角度评价各家的得失,同时提出几点个人的看法。
This paper examines the earlier development of the influential concepts of approximation in spirit and transforma- tion in literary translation proposed by Fu Lei and Qian Zhongshu, recapitulating the translation ideas of four scholars in the first half of the twentieth century, analyzing their terminologies and reassessing their strengths and weaknesses.
