Abstract: The dependence of the magnetoelectric coefficients (α[sub E]) in the Terfenol-D/Tb₂(MoO₄)₃ bilayer composite on the magnetic bias fields and the frequencies has been studied. The strain with butterfly loop of Tb₂(MoO₄)₃ under an external magnetic field was observed and the effect of ferroelasticity of the Tb₂(MoO₄)₃ on the magnetoelectric coupling was discussed. More than one peak of α[sub E] as function of frequency of ac magnetic field were observed and it implies existence of bending resonance mode besides the longitudinal resonance mode in the bilayer composite.
