Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of treating inorganic and organic compounds in wastewater, such as leachate. The treatment method involves the use of a amphiphilic particles that consist of hydrophobic cores and amine-containing polymer shells. The method of making the particles and their structures are such that the particles have diameters in the range of 100 to 500 nm and they may be used multiples of times more in treating wastewater, through the process of regenerating the particles.
