Abstract: This talk will comprehensively summarise the KM and Intellectual Capital developments in Hong Kong with particular emphasis on the adoption and evolution of various KM techniques and systems in the city's transformation into a knowledge-based economy. Much of the data is gained through the extensive number of projects executed and events hosted by the HK KM Society and HKPolyU's KMRC in the last 3 years. Amidst all the project statistics, there are clear signs that local organisations are utilising more and more soft-side KM techniques but at the same time robust KM systems, Web 2.0 tools are also being deployed to enhance collaborations and knowledge navigation. A small number of organisations shows signs of accomplishing a higher level of maturity in their KM journey.
