The book, Habibi Community Centre: Bersive Camp 2 Zahko Kurdistan Iraq 2021-2022, serves as a comprehensive overview detailing the realization of the Habibi Community Centre project, put together by Peter Hasdell (Insitu Project). The project was collaboratively designed and built between 2021 and 2022. The book systematically documents the project, covering the spatial context, cultural and political context of the Bersive 2 Camp, the project collaborative framework involving multiple NGOs (Insitu Project, ABCD Collaborative, Habibi International, HIS Foundation, Vide Terra, MedEast, and Catalytic Action), the design and construction methodologies employed in the process, and the technical and ecological performance of the architectural output. It focuses on sharing how the project achieved critical aims within the resource-depleted camp environment, such as enabling community skill development and initiating circular materiality in a hostile environment, while strengthening community resilience through placemaking.en_US
