Abstract: This case study highlights the successful implementation of the flipped classroom approach in the course "Foundation Pathology" (HTI27101), taught by Dr. Law Ka Wai, Helen from the Department of Health Technology and Informatics. It details the rationale for adopting the flipped classroom model, outlines the step-by-step implementation process, examines its positive impact on student learning, and discusses the challenges encountered. The case study also identifies best practices, such as utilizing pre-class videos for revision and preparation, selecting appropriate activities to achieve various learning objectives, and motivating students through multiple strategies. Overall, the case demonstrates improvements in maintaining student interest and effective time management for teachers.
