Vision-based solution for lighting, imaging, and metaverse systems

With the development of technologies, especially in the upcoming age of metaverse, human beings are living in combined physical and digital environments, which contain various new viewing conditions that did not exist in the past. For example, LED lighting products produce illumination with narrow-band spectral compositions, while augmented reality (AR) technologies superimpose virtual objects on real environments. Various scientific studies have been conducted to understand how the human visual system responds to these new viewing conditions through different underlying mechanisms. During the past few years, Dr WEI’s research findings have led to the development of various solutions for advanced lighting, imaging, and metaverse-enabled systems through collaboration with world-leading high-tech companies, with many of the solutions adopted by world-leading manufacturers for colour calibration, image processing and display adjustment.
