Abstract: Tyre/road noise measurement on public roads is often influenced by the uncontrollable environmental parameter of temperature. Researchers worldwide have developed a method called temperature correction to compensate its effect on the measured noise level with different temperature descriptors. This study attempts to explore the reliability of correction using air and road surface temperatures with a one-day test. Temperature constants for two road surface types are yielded.
