《FAST Research Insight》第十五集 - 梁志華博士講解人工智能與物理學的協同效應

近年來,人工智能(AI)技術發展迅速。AI與物理學息息相關,互相促進發展。AI能夠幫助物理的研究進行大規模的計算及預測,從而省卻實驗的資源和時間。而一個高效的AI系統是需要收集有高質素的實時數據去建立。物理學家協助AI 系統製定有效的流程及參數去收集更精確的數據。有請理大應用物理學系副系主任及副教授梁志華博士講解一下AI與物理學的協同效應,於工業生產及數據挖掘如何被廣泛應用,提高生產力。

In recent years, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has developed rapidly with rewarding results. AI and Physics are closely related and mutually help each other for further development. AI helps physics research by performing large-scale calculations and predictions, so as to save the resources and time for experiments. Effective AI system is supported by high-quality real-time data, in which physicists helps AI system to formulate mechanism and parameters to collect accurate data. Dr Dennis Leung, Associate Head and Associate Professor of the Department of Applied Physics, is pleased to share his research interest on AI application in Physics, and how such applications could help to increase the productivity in industrial production and data-mining.
