Abstract: With the accelerating rate of urban construction, the construction of urban subway system has becoming increasingly faster. However, as a relative isolated environment, there are a variety of problems that may seriously threaten the health of subway staff and passengers, for example, the insufficient natural ventilation, the lack of natural lighting and the highly crowded people with high mobility. Besides, it is easy to cause the spread of disease. Based on a comprehensive literature review and experts interview, this paper will summarize the connotation of the micro-environmental health vulnerability of urban subway system, i.e., exposure, sensitivity, and resilience. Moreover, according to the characteristics of subway micro-environment, there will be an exposure analysis, a sensitivity analysis, and an resilience analysis of people and subway. Thus, a vulnerability model of urban subway micro-environment will be built. The purpose of this paper is to avoid the possible hidden dangers of subway micro-environment and to provide the guidance on environmental management for subway operation.
