Abstract: Ageing population in Hong Kong is getting more serious and Osteoarthritis (OA) is one of the most common diseases for elderly. To be specific, hand OA patients are common and continuously increasing. To manage OA, exercise has been the central component to prevent and relieve symptoms. Existing hand exercise equipment, however, are not designed specifically for OA patients. The purpose of this research is to enhance the current hand exercise equipment and remodel it to be suitable for early OA patients.
