The invention relates to an electrospray ionization device and method. The device comprises a voltage interface (1) used for providing an ionization high voltage and a metal foil sheet (2) connected to the voltage interface (1), wherein the metal foil sheet (2) is used for containing an ionization sample (6) and exciting the ionization sample (6) through the ionization high voltage to carry out ionization so as to form electrospray ions (8). According to the method, the electrospray ionization device is used for preprocessing the ionization sample (6) and then carries out ionization.-
