Abstract: With the development of conflicts between Chinese and Hongkongese, there were organizational crisis that were perceived to be political-related. This paper conducted a transboundary case study of Lancôme’s crisis for cooperating with Denise Ho as promotional campaign to understand the challenges for organizations to cope with transboundary crisis. This organizational crisis was perceived as politicalrelated and aroused negativity on Weibo and Facebook. By conducting content analysis on Lancôme’s crisis response strategies and stakeholders’ responses on Facebook and Weibo, it revealed that Lancôme failed to manage the crisis. Hence, this study analyzed how transboundary crisis affected the perceptions of the stakeholders towards Lancôme’s crisis response strategies and highlighted the challenges of dealing with transboundary crisis which involved large group of stakeholders with political conflicts.
