Abstract: Previous motion studies have shown sufficient evidence to confirm that sports bras are effective in reducing excessive breast movement and avoiding discomfort during physical activities. However, little work has investigated the effects of fabrics, structure, components, and design features on the function and comfort of sports bras. This chapter provides a thorough review of the literature on various aspects of sports bras and the major studies of breast motion to inspire future development in this niche area of research.
