明代史家陈建的学术生平及其《皇明通纪》研究述评

Abstract

作为集多重学术角色于一身，且所流传的作品对当世、后世皆有相当影响的士人，陈建这样的案例在明代中叶学术史上确实是不多见的。然二十世纪以来学术界对陈建史学的研究在很大程度上还是局限于文献版本的整理以及对文本中史学观念的分析与解读。本文从陈建的成学历程及其时代背景这两个角度分述其学行，再将迄今为止有关其史著《皇明通纪》之成果置于明代史学研究的脉络下作一连贯性的关照与述评。在回顾与总结之余，本文亦支持对《通纪》开展更多更细致的专题个案分析，综合文本内外的各种因素于一处考量，方可同步强化对目前史学史研究现状的省思力度。 The compilation of HUANGMING TONGJI ( Comprehensive Annals of the Imperial Ming) by the Guangdong historian Chen Jian ( 1497 － 1567) was the first comprehensive history of the first two centuries of the Ming Dynasty in the annalistic pattern． It has significant implications in the Chinese private historiography． However，the scholarship to date on Chen’s historiography is still limited to the textual research on Chen’s works and the analysis of his general historiographical thoughts． First，the present paper studies the academic life of Chen Jian，specifically focuses on his scholastic performance and historical background． Second，it further reviews the past research on HUANGMING TONGJI under the context of Ming historiography． Finally，this paper states the importance and the necessity of more concrete case studies under different specific topics from both“inner logic”and“external situation” perspectives for better understanding of Chen’s historical book，as well as the deciding factors behind the compilation．
