Abstract: Case study involving two focus groups was carried out to investigate the factors influencing the incorporation of a positive youth development program (Tier 1 Program of Project P.A.T.H.S.) into the formal school curriculum in a school. Factors facilitating the program implementation in this case included high support from different parties (including school principal, school coordinator and experienced teachers), non-resistant atmosphere among teachers, diffusion of the program in the formal curriculum, and effective manpower deployment. The present case study clearly shows that it is practically viable to incorporate the Tier 1 Program of the Project P.A.T.H.S. in different subjects in the formal curriculum with encouraging results.
