Abstract: Better understanding on the thermal stability of PMMA would give a more practical useful material. In this paper, thermal degradation mechanisms of PMMA under different environmental conditions were critically reviewed. Recent studies on the thermal degradation kinetics and thermal stability of PMMA were introduced. Results are useful for designing more thermally stable PMMA based materials.
