Abstract: One isotropic pressure sensor and one uniaxial particle velocity sensor is used in order to estimate the azimuth-elevation angle of arrival of a source impinging from the far field. This work introduces new estimation formulas in closed forms applicable to estimators based on an eigen-decomposition of the data covariance matrix. The validity region for unambiguous estimation is also identified, and the corresponding Cramér-Rao bound is derived as well.
