dcterms.abstractHemojuvelin (HJV) is a newly discovered regulating protein of iron metabolism. Recent studies demonstrated that human mutation in the HJV gene is one of the causes for Juvenile hemochromatosis (Type Ⅱhereditory hemochormatosis). New findings also indicated that HJV might be a regulator of hepcidin expression and thus play an essential role in iron homeostasis.-
