Abstract: The invention relates to the technical field of the wireless mesh networks and discloses a switching method for the wireless mesh network. The method comprises the following steps: (A) adopting a minimum dominating set algorithm to select an agent router in a plurality of mesh network routers and updating the agent router at specific time; (B) selecting one optimal mesh network router as a first mesh network router to establish association when a mobile client accesses the mesh network and sending association information to the agent router by the first mesh network router; and (C) when the mobile client is switched due to movement, selecting a novel mesh network router as a second mesh network router to establish association and sending novel association information to the agent router and the first mesh network router by the second mesh network router. By the switching method for the wireless mesh network, which is disclosed by the invention, the cost of updating the association information due to switching is reduced and the efficiency that the wireless mesh network process mobility is improved.
