Abstract: Biomedical textile industry is developing globally due to booming and aging of population increasing awareness of disease prevention, improvement of living standards and so on. It is a new industry with high-value added technology innovation, which is attracting close attention of professions and industries around the world. Industrial value chains, as an important tool for analyzing the status of supply chains, resources allocations and value flow, should be studied to learn about strength and weakness of the industry from actual situations. This paper proposes a novel model for biomedical textile industrial value chains, with which an analysis of outstanding companies and institutes in top ten is conducted to explore resource and geographic allocations.
