Abstract: This paper reported a new thermal human-clothing-environment system model, which can simulate the dynamic heat, moisture and liquid water transfer process during human exercise. This model considered air convection within the porous clothing material due to body motion and the effect of fiber swelling. Based on this model, the effect of the ventilation through fabric and fiber swelling on the dynamic heat and moisture transfer can be further investigated.
