Abstract: To comply with the principles of "sustainable development", the construction industry has extended the traditional objectives of project management to include an environmental protection dimension. While it complements the three typical project management objectives of cost, time and quality it also limits further progress. This paper proposes a paradigm shift of project management organization by extending the traditional mode of project management organization to include an independent environmental representative.
