Abstract: We report a fiber Bragg grating sensor for the measurement of static and dynamic measurands (e.g., strain and temperature). Initial experiments demonstrated detection resolutions of ~2.6me and ~7ne/(Hz)1/2 for static and dynamic strain measurements respectively.
