Abstract: We developed a computer algorithm to design chirped fiber Bragg grating reflectors (CFBG) to function both as reflector and spectral flattening filter for double pass superfluorescent fiber sources (SFS). A flat spectral output in the wavelength range of 1530 to 1560 nm is attained from the SFS.
