Abstract: The parasitic galvanic current I in the observed thermally stimulated depolarization current (TSDC) at high temperature was found to obey the equation I = A exp(-E/kT) + C. The pure TSDC signal was obtained by deducting this parasitic conduction current from the experimental TSDC data. Using this method, the pure TSDC spectra of polythiourea, polyvinylidene fluoride- trifluoroethylene (VDF/TrFE) copolymer and polyethylene terephthalate were obtained.
