Abstract: The application of modified heterogeneous chiral catalysts in asymmetric synthesis is described in this review. Several types of heterogeneous catalytic systems, including immobilized transition metal complexes,chirally modified metal catalysts,chiral zeolite and clay-intercalated chiral catalysts,are summarized according to different preparative methods and catalytic reactions. The reaction mechanism in tartrate modified catalysts and cinchona modified catalysts are also discussed.
