Abstract: This paper proposes a fast and efficient algorithm for rotating binary images. As compared to conventional algorithms, the proposed one saves around 90% of memory consumption. Moreover, it requires no floating-point multiplication, and the major operations in it are just memory access and simple integer addition. These make it very suitable for correction of skewed document images.
