Abstract: An advanced digital backpropagation algorithm is proposed for subcarrier-multiplexing systems. Efficient intra-channel nonlinear compensation is experimentally demonstrated using this algorithm with 40 spans/step and 16 spans/step for QPSK and 16QAM formats, respectively.
