Abstract: Electropulsing induced preferred crystal orientation change and phase transformations in nanofilms of Zn-Al based alloys were studied by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy techniques. It was found that electropulsing affected considerably the crystal orientation of nanophases. Also, electropulsing tremendously accelerated nanophase decomposition. After electropulsing, the electric resistances of nanofilms of Zn-Al22 and Zn-Al27 reduced to 16.6 % and 18.2 %, respectively. Correlation between crystal orientation and electric conductivity of the alloy thin films is discussed.
